Grand Reading Room

We were the general contractor for a 20,000 sq. ft. renovation of the Beth & Lou Holtz Family Grand Reading Room, situated in the Hesburgh Library. This expansive two-story space is equipped with over 250 table seats for individual study and comfortable seating around an enclosed fireplace on the second floor.

Howard Park

Larson-Danielson completed an $18.8 million renovation of Howard Park, South Bend’s first and oldest park, which overlooks the St. Joseph River. The project included a 16,000-foot ice trail and pond, fire pits, an accessible playground, a splash pad, walking trails, and a community/event center.

La Porte Library Exchange Center

We transformed a former telephone exchange building into a versatile community hub featuring maker areas for fiber arts, woodworking, digital fabrication, and 3-D printing, along with meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, video and recording studios, and staff offices. The 6,500 sq. ft. renovation preserved historical aspects of the building while incorporating contemporary design aspects.

This 18,000 sq. ft. renovation features an open plan office space with amenities for its employees that include lounge area, yoga rooms, and quiet rooms to give each person unique spaces to work and decompress.
