Chesterton Town Hall and Fire Department Renovation

Larson-Danielson served as general contractor for the Town of Chesterton municipal construction project, renovating the Town Hall and Fire Department to better serve the community and first responders. Awarded in April 2025, the project began in May 2025 and focused on updating aging infrastructure while preserving the character of the existing buildings. The renovated Town Hall reopened to the public at the end of 2025 and features upgraded audio-visual technology, new restrooms, refreshed interior finishes, and a flexible community room designed for public meetings, training, and events.

Improvements to the Fire Department included a 1,730-square-foot addition and interior renovations to support daily operations and firefighter readiness, including new bunk rooms, training space, updated living areas, and enhanced fitness facilities. Completed in 2025, the renovation demonstrates Larson-Danielson’s expertise in public safety construction, delivering modern, functional facilities while preserving the character of existing buildings.
