Indiana Toll Road Travel Plazas – Howe, IN
Larson-Danielson was the general contractor for a retail construction project for two new travel plazas at Mile Marker 126 on the Indiana Toll Road. This $14 million public works project involved constructing two 15,000-square-foot plaza buildings for both eastbound and westbound travelers, finished two weeks ahead of schedule. These new facilities offer a modern look with sweeping roof overhangs and large exterior columns wrapped in architectural metal panels. Each plaza includes a Sunoco gas station, Starbucks, Popeye’s, and Refresh Co., enhancing the amenities available to travelers. The replacement of the travel plazas on the Indiana Toll Road is a notable enhancement along one of Indiana’s most prominent travel corridors.
