Millennium Park Distribution Center

Larson-Danielson played a pivotal role in the industrial construction of GAF’s 200,000-square-foot distribution center for roofing shingles. This facility, strategically located on a 45-acre site with rail spur access in the Millennium Business Park, Michigan City, Indiana, caters to comprehensive shipping, receiving, and distribution needs. The design/build project, in collaboration with Facet Architecture, features a large warehouse and a complete office buildout with four drive-in doors and 13 dock doors. The office area includes private offices, a conference room, an IT room, a break room, and restrooms. The site also includes a truck lounge, a dispatcher/clerk office, and a 1,400-square-foot guard house. The project involved paving 28 acres for outdoor storage and loading space, enhancing capacity and shipping efficiency for GAF’s roofing and waterproofing products. Additionally, two rail spurs with a substantial rail platform were constructed to support operations.
