Chesterton Police Station

Larson-Danielson was awarded the construction contract for a new, $5.6 million police station in Chesterton, IN. The two-story, 10,850 square foot structure will serve as a community hub and training center. The ground floor features a secure lobby with public amenities, a training room, patrol and processing rooms, and a sally port. The upper floor houses administrative offices, an investigative department, evidence storage, fitness facilities with separate locker rooms,  showers, restrooms, and a kitchenette/breakroom. The building will enhance community programs and partnerships, offering a 28-person training room for local and neighboring police departments. It also provides separate locker rooms, restrooms, and shower facilities for male and female officers, a much-needed upgrade from the current building.
